7 Days Until MMT!!!

This is what lies ahead of me... One week from today I'll be making my first 100 mile distance attempt on the rocky and very demanding MMT course, which is located in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. This ultra has a 36 hour time limit and includes short but rugged mountain climbs that total over 18,000 feet in elevation gain. I can feel the excitement building as I prepare my aid station drop bags and finalize my overall plan. Can't wait to see this area for the first time and I'm looking forward to sharing lots of trail time with many great ultra runners. Those participating from Ohio that I know are Bob Combs, Bill Losey, Roy Heger (going for his 10th finish), Dave Peterman, Lloyd Thomas, Gabe Rainwater, Paul Lefelhocz, and Rita Barnes.

I'll be thinking of you as I tackle the very non technical roads of the Florida Keys. At some point we'll both wish we were somewhere else. Bruce the Moose
