Oil Creek 100 Miler

 OC Buckle
Today I earned my 3rd 100 mile belt buckle by finishing the 2nd Annual Oil Creek 100 Miler in a time of 31:35:57.  It wasn’t easy but my pacer Suzanne Weightman did a great job keeping me on track throughout the night and into the next morning.  The hardest part of the entire race was getting out of the mile 68 aid station in the middle of the night.  I was shivering by the fire and could hardly get down solid foods, but somehow managed to get myself back on the trail and continue moving forward.  After the 2nd sunrise I was running strong once again and became more and more determined to finish.  Overall it was a terrific experience that I was able to share with many friends.
