This morning Bob Combs and I headed over to Mill Creek Park in Youngstown for a trail run and to do some trail maintenance on the YUT-C 50K course. We met at the Fellows Riverside Gardens parking lot around 8:00am and then headed out for a URINEO loop (approx. 8 miles). On the run we noticed that the majority of trees down from the last big storm were on the west side of Lake Glacier. Besides this area though, the trails were in decent shape. On the run I was also able to capture a few more videos of the YUT-C 50K course, which will soon be posted on the race page to give runners a virtual tour.
As you can see from this picture taken at the waterfall at Lanterman's Mill, we definitely have not been getting much rain lately. Usually this waterfall has a tremendous amount of water flowing over... today it was broken up into 2 separate falls.
